Heat regulation: thermal regulation provides for the fact that the body temperature remains
stable. At the same time, metabolism, heart and circulation system as well as respiration are
strained. By cold stimuli, the organism’s regulatory ability can be trained, for example through
climatic therapies. There, air temperature, humidity, wind speed as well as short and long waves
play a role in the atmosphere.
Seasons: the areas in Germany are characterised according to the degree of bio-meteorological demands regarding the thermal regulation of the organism. Here, the frequent occurrence of “heat strain” in the summer semester and “cold strain” in the winter semester is taken into consideration.
